10 Movies That Make You Want to Travel

While watching the latest James Bond movie, "No Time Left to Die", I couldn't help but feel the allure of travel once again calling. Who wouldn't want that house in Jamaica or be in Italy, speeding across an Italian road? It made me think of other films that create wanderlust.

10. Into the Wild

Ok, the "off-the-grid" lifestyle isn't for everyone, but the Alaska footage makes you want to go outdoors! The adventures that Christopher Candless has, makes you think about signing up for that outdoor retreat!

9. The Beach

Sure, my first two choices don't end well for the traveler, but the scenery makes it worth it. "The Beach" makes you want to find a private island and just lay next to the blue waters.

8. The Darjeeling Limited

The movie is about three brothers who travel across India. Mainly though, it makes you want to visit India yourself!

7. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

When Walter Mitty's life takes a turn, he begins a journey across the world. Not only do I love this film, but the views are incredible. Plus, you begin to feel the excitement of a traveler as Walter experiences adventure for the first time.

6. The Endless Summer

We're originally from Southern California, which could be why this movie is on our list. It's a documentary made in the 60s about some friends traveling the world surfing. The exotic locations, killer surf footage and friendship is what makes this one of our favs.

5. Eat Pray Love

I never read the book, but this movie definitely will make you want to travel! Now I want to eat in Italy, pray in India and love in Bali.

4. Catch Me if You Can

An FBI agent who travels around the globe chasing a conman- and that agent is Tom Hanks? Yes please! Plus I now want to buy a printing press in Germany.

3. Midnight in Paris

A couple travels to Paris with their parents...what could go wrong? It's the street footage of Paris that will memorize you. Oh, also the soundtrack.

2. Planet Earth II

Another documentary, but worth is to see the beautiful parts of our world.

1. Crazy Rich Asians

This movie is "50 Shades of Grey" meets travel. You get to see another part of the world...through money!

Or just watch any Adam Sandler movie. He literally picks locations and writes movies around them. Or so we assume.
